3-Day Silver Jewellery Course

A three-day residential silver jewellery course during which you will learn the basics of health and safety, equipment, making a simple ring including sizing, cutting, filing, shaping, soldering and sanding and polishing. You’ll then go on to learn more complex skills such as  fold forming and a choice of bangle, pendant or earrings. There is flexibility in what you make.  At all stages you are supported and guided along the way whilst giving you the space to use your own creativity and ideas should you within the confines of possibility!

The course is part of a dedicated week-long retreat run by Sue Bouys of Curious Creatives and takes place in the heart of the Cotswolds at Kingham Hill School in Kingham, Chipping Norton in the heart of the Cotswolds. There are also opportunities to take part in additional short evening courses run by other creative tutors such as polymer clay and beaded jewellery, sewing, mandala stones and more (all to be confirmed).  The cost of these ranges from £15 to £25.

The cost of the silver jewellery course is £460. This includes all the classes, full board from Monday evening dinner to Friday morning breakfast and 4 nights’ lodging and represents fantastic value !!  An additional cost will be charged for sterling silver used; last year it was approximately £60 pp on average..

This is SUCH a lovely week in the middle of the Cotswolds at a beautiful venue.  Participants come away having not only made some amazing jewellery, but also lasting friendships and connections with others.  The support and friendships built on this course are incredible.
