- make a basic ring shank and set a cabochon gem using a bezel wire setting. There is the option to set this on a simple pendant shape.
- Cut out a circle shapes, dome and make a round bead with lettering if desired, Set in a bail to hang on a chain.
- Use scrap sterling silver to melt into a shape, forge flat and stamp a letter. Solder on a ring and bail
- Time allowing, you can also make a pair of simple earrings (designs below).
Both Saturday and Sunday classes start at 10am and finish at 4pm with a break for lunch. Unlimited tea and coffee and homemade cake (including gluten free orange and almond cake!) will be available throughout the weekend, but please bring a packed lunch as I won’t have facilities to provide this.
All materials are included in the price: sterling silver sheet and wire, gems (eg onyx, aventurine, carnelian cabochons), sundries (gas, pickle, saw blades, solder etc), equipment, refreshments (except packed lunch). Other than sandwiches, you need only bring yourselves, an apron and a smile!
