Etched Bangle

Part one of a two-part workshop to make a sterling silver bangle and etch it with a pattern and texture. This is suitable for anyone who has previously made a bangle or ring and therefore understands the initial process.

Once you have made the bangle, you will then use resist to create a protective barrier before the bangle is immersed in acid. This last step will be done by Wendy and require at least 24 hours to take effect.

Part two of the workshop will entail cleaning up the bangle, oxidising the eaten-away metal and polishing to a fine finish.
