Middletown Farm – Far Open Studios – Spinner Ring Workshop

July 10, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Make a Sterling Silver Spinner Ring

This event is being run as part of the Forest of Dean Far Open Studio programme and in collaboration with Middletown Farm Cottages.

Come and make your own personalised sterling silver spinner ring at this informative and fun class in the beautiful surroundings of Middletown Farm in Upleadon.  The owners have created a wonderful haven of peace running an animal friendly farm with a shop selling crafts and food produce.

During the workshop, you will be taught all the skills you need to size, cut, file, solder and polish your main ring shank.  Add up to three spinning rings in any combination of silver, copper and/or brass under the expert tuition of Wendy Murphy from WMM Silver.

Always enjoyed with very proud and satisfied customers.  The workshop price includes all materials, sundries, insurance and homemade cake and tea/coffee/apple juice.

Tickets are limited to 6 to ensure you get plenty of attention.

Here’s a little explanation of what goes on at this workshop and some images of previous students’ work.  “Make your own”

If you are making your ring for someone else it’s important you try to find out their size...

For a ring:  Bring either a ring that fits the person with you, or get their ring size measured at a jeweller, or wrap a study piece of wire around their finger and twist. It should go on and off easily. Bring the “ring” with you on the day.
